I just wrote this piece of code for Chavah, the best darn Messianic radio on the web:
That’s fancy code for saying, “Play more shabbat-related music during Friday and Saturday”.
Yes, the clever girl that Chavah is, she’ll now favor playing shabbat music during the sabbath. (Don’t worry, though, she’s 100% digital; there’s no mitzvah against robots working on the sabbath! )
Hahah! I love writing code like this.
By the way, Chavah is doing spectacularly well – after publishing that article about Chavah the other week, Chavah’s seen in influx of traffic:
- 100+ new fans on Facebook.
- 10,000+ songs praising the Lord have been streamed in a little over 2 weeks.
- Chavah traffic has shot through the freakin’ roof. My web host has been struggling to keep serving the tunes, and we’re now approaching 100,000 total tunes served. Wow!
Rock on, fine blog readers!
And have a peaceful shabbat.
(Don’t worry, though, she’s 100% digital; there’s no mitzvah against robots working on the sabbath! )
ReplyDeleteWell at least not yet, I am sure someone will invite one in the future.
Cool features and interesting coding, wish I knew what it all meant!
Oh yeah, there's probably some halacha about computers working on the sabbath.
ReplyDeleteChavah pays them no mind, though, she's quite comfortable doing good on the sabbath through serving up tunes for Messiah. ;-)
Have a good shabbat, Jeruz. :-)
