We convinced our landlord to let us have a cat. She was first named Alf (short for Alfalfa), then we considered Candy Cane (Connor's suggestion), and finally settled on Munch. We borrowed the name from one of our favorite shows, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, where one of the main characters is Detective John Munch.
