So much for getting rich off the internet

For about a year now, I've been running Google's Adsense advertising on my blog. (They're on the right side of the current blog, way down and out of the way.) I figured it would be worth a try, see what comes of it. As long as the ads aren't obtrusive, in-your-face, I figured, why not give it a try.

Well, 21,000 page views and 100 ad clicks later, I've made a grand whopping total of $15 USD.

Google won't send me a check until I amass at least $100. So, at a rate of ~$15/year, in only 6 more years I'll have my first check from teh magical intarweb! Yay!

Of course, if I had more readers, I'd have more page views and more clicks, thus more money. But hey, I'm not complaining. Kudos to Google for creating an advertising program that works. Blogging is fun, and being paid for it (little as it may be) is just a nice little sideshow; the show must go on!
