Very interesting stuff!

A. 7th day Sabbath; I haven't seen Scriptural support for months restarting the sabbath as the first of the month.

That said, I do follow God's calendar described in Scripture, which is lunar. In Scripture, cycles of the moon indicate the beginning and end of months, but not necessarily the Sabbath.

Blessings in Messiah.Judah Gabriel Himangohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10277699587853707632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6836835.post-59268843737540827232008-01-24T23:06:00.000-06:002008-01-24T23:06:00.000-06:00Shalom Judah! He came from Galilee "of the Gentiles" -an area with a lot of Greek immigration and a lot of Jews did speak Greek even in Jerusalem (the book of Acts records the issue over Greek speaking widows suffering discrimination in the early Christian community). It's interesting that a number of the Apostles have Greek names and the likelihood is that some of the conversations recorded would have been in Greek. It's not hard to imagine that the teaching would have been in both Greek and Aramaic, with simultaneous interpretations for some. For comparison think about the linguistic situation in say Switzerland, Wales ...

You may like to check out some of the further info at http://www.squidoo.com/abwun/Andiihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03545699854077420349noreply@blogger.com
