Chavah now open source

Chavah

Chavah, the Pandora-like internet radio for Yeshua’s disciples, the best darn Messianic radio on the web, has gone open source.

While most of you don’t care or don’t know what that means, I think a few of you are privy on the itty-bitty 1s and 0s that make up the whole intarwebz.

So for those of you that are in the know, you can grab the source from chavah.codeplex.com

Reason for open sourcing it, you ask?

It’s part of an article I’m writing on Chavah for a popular software development website. I’ll let y’all know when that’s up.

Nerd notes:

Chavah is a C# Silverlight app, running through the web browser. Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and on just about any browser: Mozilla, Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer. Additionally, Chavah uses Silverlight’s new out-of-browser features to permit local installation as a native app.

The server side is a WCF web service that utilizes a SQLCE database + Entity Framework.

Fun stuff. Check out the source, homeboy!
